A word from our Founding Director

“I am filled with the excitement of possibility for what this year may bring.”

As another year begins, I am filled with the excitement of possibility for what this year may bring. Over the past 2 years we have managed (through a global pandemic) to continue to grow QueenMode and while the move to deliver the majority of our services and programs online quicker than originally planned, we have been able to make the transition smoothly and productively.

In 2021, we were able to see significant growth across our employment capacity and our reach. My own personal goal for QueenMode has always been to grow it to a point where we can provide employment & training opportunities for First Nations women and to provide an example of a working environment and culture that is conducive to the skills and nuances of First Nations women. Last year we were able to achieve this, and in 2022 we hope to continue along this trajectory.

We also launched our membership platform in 2021, a personal development platform that provides tools, resources, community and support for those who are on working on their own development QMs Sanctum. An exciting endeavour for our team, we have built out a virtual home, somewhere that the QM community and its members can retreat from the noise of the world and social media to focus on themselves. This year we will be looking for content creators to contribute to Sanctum and moderators to ensure that the space is as safe as possible while we all share, learn and grow together. Sanctum is a virtual space that we as a team, are all so very proud of and we look forward to sharing this space with you!!

If you have ever been interested in online programming, personal development, mentorship or being a part of a team of First Nations women, now is the time to get involved in QueenMode. Please feel free to get in contact with us if you have any questions or head to our careers page to join our team.
